Norwich, Norfolk, 6 October 2026: Anglia Capital Group, a collaborative group of individual investors who come together to support early-stage businesses in the East of England, has today announced a new name and identity. It is now Eastern Angels.

The change marks the next chapter for a network that has spent the past decade growing its investor membership, helping founders raise early-stage investment and building the region's investment community.

Over that time, the network's members have invested more than £10m across 77 companies, which have gone on to raise more than £240m in follow-on investment.

The new name is designed to make the organisation's purpose clearer to founders and investors alike. "Eastern" places the region at the centre of the network's identity, while "Angels" describes simply what its members do: invest their own money, experience and time in promising early-stage businesses.

The new brand is built around a single idea: "Where connection creates value." It reflects the network's belief that capital is rarely the whole answer for a young business, and that the right introduction to an investor with relevant experience can matter as much as the investment itself.

Samantha Graham, Managing Director of Eastern Angels, said: "Our name has changed, but what we do hasn't. For ten years we've been bringing founders and investors together because we believe the East of England is full of brilliant businesses that deserve backing. Eastern Angels says exactly who we are and where we stand, and we're excited to welcome more founders and investors into the community."

Laura Hood, Operations Director, added: "Our members bring far more than capital. They bring experience, perspective and connections, and our job is to make those introductions count. The new identity is a clearer, warmer expression of that, and a promise that we'll keep making it easier for founders and investors to find each other."

Samantha Lowry of White Pencil Design, who created the new identity, said: “The new identity brings together a few simple ideas that are central to Eastern Angels. The wing forms are a subtle nod to the name, while the east-facing arrow gives the brand a sense of direction and place. The two shapes coming together also reflect the role Eastern Angels plays in creating connections, bringing founders and investors together in a way that feels purposeful and collaborative. We wanted the overall identity to feel warm and open, while still having the confidence and credibility needed to speak to both audiences."

The new identity will roll out across the network's website, social channels, events and member communications over the coming weeks, starting with the website at easternangels.co.uk. Existing members and founders in the pipeline do not need to take any action.
